DEFENSIVE FUNDAMENTALS

  • This is an introductory course & is foundational for all who desire to own a firearm to protect yourself or a loved one. We will cover many subjects including: Firearm safety - Introduction to handguns, shotguns & rifles - Introduction to ammunition - Weapon of choice - Handgun malfunctions/clearing - What you need to know when carrying a firearm - Legal use of force - Gun Laws - License To Carry - Insurance - Equipment - Situational awareness - Mindset - Home defense - And more…

    After spending valuable time discussing the fundamentals & answering common questions we will spend time learning & implementing safe, effective, defensive handgun disciplines as the foundation for defensive handgun training.

    Regardless if you are a seasoned hunter, a gun enthusiast, a grandparent, or a combat commando…this course is foundational for all who desire to own a firearm to protect yourself or a loved one.

  • The majority of our time will be spent indoors in a classroom like setting. We will also spend time on an outdoor firearm range where we will practice safe live fire drills.

  • Participants must be a minimum age of 18 years old & legally allowed to own & operate a firearm in the United States.

  • We are based out of the Springfield/Branson, MO metroplex.

    We provide training beyond the surrounding area on a case by case basis, per request.

  • REGISTRATION (PUBLIC)

    *Costs varies, refer to public calendar.

    REGISTRATION (PRIVATE)

    *Between $100 - $500 per individual

    Actual costs is determined on a case by case basis. Factors include: size of group, facility, range, etc.

    FIREARM & AMMUNITION

    (Optional)

    Firearm Rental & Ammunition — $50.00

    If you will not be bringing your own firearm & ammunition then you must rent these two items upon arrival. Rental includes a handgun & 50 rounds of ammunition. You will pay for the rental once you arrive onsite the day of.

  • 8am - 5:00pm

    • 8am — Arrival

    • 8am-1:00pm — Classroom Instruction (indoor)

    • 1:00pm — Lunch Break / Travel to Range

    • 2pm — Arrive at Firearm Range

    • 2pm-5pm — On Range Firearm Instruction & Live Fire (outdoor)

    • 5pm — Dismiss

  • REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

    • Semi-automatic handgun

    • Ammunition (50 rounds) you may bring more to shoot if time permits.

    • RENTAL: you may rent a firearm & ammunition. Refer to costs.

    PROVIDED EQUIPMENT

    • Eye & ear protection

    SUGGESTED EQUIPMENT

    • Closed toe shoes & weather appropriate clothing (sunglasses, hat, sunscreen)

    • Water & snacks


    FIREARM & EQUIPMENT POLICY

    FIREARMS

    • All firearms must be in good working condition.

    • Until on firing range & given permission by an instructor, all firearms must be kept unloaded and secured in an appropriate holster (see holsters) OR inside a gun case.

    AMMUNITION

    • Suggested = conventional lead core copper jacket bullets.

    • You may shoot reloaded ammo at your own risk.

    HOLSTERS

    • Holsters must effectively cover the trigger guard of your handgun & must have retention keeping the firearm secure inside the holster.

  • PRIVATE TRAINING
